EL is a designed learning experience that includes the possibility of learning from actual, natural consequences, mistakes, and successes.

Our Classes can result in changes in one's judgment, feelings, or skills... whereby the Student is provided direction for the making of Choices and as a Guide for taking action to achieve learned Goals.

ASCR is a Team of experienced Music Industry Professionals that will help our Students succeed. At ASCR, our Team of Consulars and Mentors is committed to delivering the best education and information available to help steer your desires for a career in the Music Industry.

The main goal of the Asheville School of Classic Rock is to prepare its Students for a career, of their choice, in the Music Industry. In our training, we focus on how Classic Rock Musicians used advancements in Music Theory to inspire other Rock Musicians and their production techniques.

We prepare our Students to create a "Pathway" for the necessary Education and Training skills to meet the requirements to apply for a position of their choice... They will develop a level of confidence to help steer that Path to success.

To start, it is a prerequisite that a potential Student has a Certificate in Music Theory and Appreciation to attend our "Tuition-free" Program. We teach what we call advanced MT that deals with "Ear training", giving them a more intuitive understanding of what they enjoy listening to.

We in Asheville are fortunate to have one of the best Technical Colleges in the Country... it has excellent Music Theory and Appreciation Courses that give one a Certificate... including an understanding of melodic voice leading, rhythmic functions within simple and compound meters, and simple harmonic progressions.

At ASCR we will take our Students to the Next Level by applying those Fundamentals to the Real World of Rock Music... they will learn the valuable lessons that Classic Rock Musicians and Song Writers have adapted from basic Music Theory to create a Distinctive set of Characteristics of Rock Music.

Note: No Student Fails this (Tuition-free) Program as our Mentors will guide them until they make a decision to proceed on the Pathway they created or take a different Career Path.
